<snort> <double snort> No it’s not. The pitch of their voices is most certainly not measured in decibels. In fact “decimals” might be considered more correct as it carried no units but if you want to mention units, you could use hertz or octaves. Definitely not decibels or bels. Now, if you are talking about how loud they talk, then yes, decibels would be the correct unit but they are also decimals.

I come back to this thread and I’m now shaking my head in utter disbelief at what I’m seeing.
Apparently it’s perfectly OK for people to show disrespect for a person if they’re too young, professional eitquette has gone totally out the window for a couple of posters, and having a few annoying female coworkers is sexism.
Well then, lock my ass up and throw away the key since I have ranted (not here, mostly when out for a beer with my friends) about the fucking cunt of a boss I have who can’t get a sentence out without squeaking and stammering and seems to think that her age relative to mine matters for something at work. There’s the one with the really high pitched voice whose office is down the hall from that one, and the two or three others that crowd around every time a baby picture or, worse yet, an actual baby is brought into the office. The resultant coos and squeals are so high pitched they’re on the verge of becoming ultrasonic, and their catty bitchass ways of telling everyone in the office if I made a typo on any of the documentation I do instead of just asking what I meant in the first place.
There are a couple of men there that are assholes too, who I deal with on a far less frequent basis and whose voices I never hear unless I’m directly dealing with them, so I don’t rant about what colossal dickheads they are as much when I’m out for an after work beer.
But really, I hope I’m never associated with the type of women who excuse unprofessional behavior from office employees simply because the perpetrator of the behavior is female. That goes to all of the people who’ve excused treating someone younger as if they’re invalid, going over a person’s head before going directly to that person, and anyone who said that wanting to be treated with professional courtesy at work is a ‘chip on the shoulder’. It’s an attitude and tendency I really regret will be attached to me because I’m female.
fishcrawford hasn’t said, as far as I can see, that he’s directly mean to the women who work in that office or that he’s said the things to them that he has here, and as long as he behaves professionally while at work, nobody is justified in behaving unprofessionally to him at work. His venting his frustration here about the ‘fucking cunts’ is not evidence enough to say how he should be treated at work. That’s what BBQ Pits and the neighborhood bar and at home with the roommates are for, for cryin out fucking loud.
I’m sure none of you have ever bitched and ranted about the behavior of male coworkers and how ‘they get all macho and talk about sports and use those stupid sound effects and act like they’re Troy fuckin Aiken every Tuesday morning’ when you’re out with the ladies. Your own MPSIMS thread about “help, my girlfriend is a Christian”. Really up until the last couple of weeks, I had no awareness of your prescence on the board. But you’ve made quite an impression this month.
I haven’t. You have to have male co-workers for that, and very few men are willing to work with preschoolers, which is what I’ve done up until I was laidoff. In fact, my wish list for my next job includes working some place that actually has a few guys around, since working in women-only environments gets pretty fucking tedious after a couple of years.
As for the OP, besides the cringeworthiness of the word “cunt” I don’t think that the rant is that bad. Some people suck to work with, and others are entitled to their opinions about them. If he hadn’t used “cunt” and “whore” he wouldn’t be getting the ration of shit in this thread he has been getting.

#1. I didn’t “Take a dump” in your MPSIMS. I specifically stated I wasn’t taking a dump there and had no qualms with the OP. All I did was state my lack of surprise, which, I might add, several dopers agreed with.
#2. I admitted that what I did concerning the spoilers was wrong and I apoligized for it three times in that one thread.
#3. YOU GUYS took a dump in MY H!MGIAC thread. The mods agreed with me on that and we decided together to lock the thread. I’m not going to continue to defend it.

What’s the matter with plain old “bitch”? A traditional epithet that has nothing to do with sexuality per se.
How about “asshole”, which like “goatfelching” can be applied to either sex, same for “fucktard” and “cocksucker” and “bullshitter”? As a matter of fact, a quick perusal of today’s Pit thread titles yields a bountiful harvest of non-gender-specific epithets.

I don’t know about deep and abiding mysogyny, but the OP definitely has an attitude problem as fully shown in his pathetic follow-ups. Anybody who doesn’t speak the way he thinks they ought to, anybody who acts in a different manner depending on whether they’re engaged in personal or work-related activities, anybody who has interests or preferences that don’t align with his or are beyond his scope of reference and anybody who disagrees with him can’t just be someone who is different, they have to be a fucking cunt, a whore, an idiot, a fucking moron, a wormy bitch, or an unnatural and fake ho, and that’s just the grade-school playground variety of insults he’s dished out here.
His attitude is simply childish, low, petty and meanspirited.

As to the “going over the head” business, I can see it. Say you have an employee who has been repeatedly counselled about a particular element of his work which he was doing improperly. He continues this trend. You, as the supervisor of another department must continually deal with the fallout caused by said employee’s repeated “mistakes.” You aren’t his boss, his work is a problem, where do you go? You go to his boss, because it’s an issue which needs to be remedied from the top down, with supervisory input and direct supervisory input at that. I have absolutely, positively no problem with that at all.
That the OP experiences this problem enough to feel the need to rant about it specifically with his vague ramblings about “cliche family phrases” and cute Christmas shirts makes me believe that his primary issue is that he’s clearly an outsider, excluded from the circle of workplace comraderie that his female co-workers share. When you know you’re not a part of the gang, the gang becomes bothersome to you, and you’ll express that in a number of ways, insults and a hypersensitivity to every annoying trait of the gang is typical whether you’re talking about officemates with whom you have no commonality or the high school clique that you never quite got into.
Also, being outside of the sphere of friendliness could definitely serve to make everything negative experience, even when it’s work-based and not personal, (like taking mistakes to a boss) feel like an attack.
All that said, the OP still comes across as a knee-jerking, profane, boorish little jerk who I’d loathe to have as a co-worker.

I’d have to say you couldn’t be more wrong, tlw, especially about the quality of my work. The first wrong key I ever punched in was reported directly to my boss, instead of to me, which would have solved the problem quicker with less animosity. This is the rants section, I feel the women in my office are hoes, for being so aggravating. Not a hoe as in the fuckin webster’s dictionary definition, but in the slang term. I think your attempt at rationalizing and using some kind of deductive logic to decide if i am “in” or “out” of their group is even more pathetic than the rant in itself. I fit in very well with them, however, I used this board as a means to vent, and I can see it wasn’t taken well. So, fuck it, I’m not going to post anymore to justify it, since so many of you jump to conclusions about my work place demeanor and/or attitude.
