Got a PM last night after I’d logged off. Was greeted with the popup notification this morning, so I said “yes please” when it asked if I wanted to read it in a new window. Read the message, wanted to think about it before responding, so I closed that window and went back to MPSIMS.
Got a popup.
Opened the window, saw it was the same PM timestamped last evening, opened it again – yup, the exact same content, this is the exact same PM I’ve already read. Closed the window.
Went back to MPSIMS. Went into a thread.
Got a popup.
Closed the popup, read the thread, went back to the forum page.
Got a popup.
Actually went into the PM inbox from the active tab, rather than going in through a new window. Got a popup there.
Went into the PM – exact same content. Responded to it, in hopes that that’s what the problem was.
Went back to MPSIMS.
You know what happened.
Went into user CP, disabled “popup notification,” clicked “save changes.”
Went back to MPSIMS. Yup, got a popup.
Went to the mailbox – got a popup – deleted the offending PM. Or, rather, tried to – it wouldn’t let me delete it.
Went back to user CP, realized that it hadn’t, and wouldn’t, let me disable popup notification.
So apparently I just have to close the popup every single time I change pages.
Unless someone would be so kind as to fix the motherfucking thing.
