I just started a game room thread that depends heavily on PMs, and I suspect there might be an issue. One of the players, Meeko complained about PMs being stalled, and I noticed that although the send PM function seems to behave as if mine are being sent out, I don’t get copies in sent messages anymore.
I think that PMs are like email sent by the system – the writing of postings take precedence over email and at times of stress to the system email and probably PMs are secondary to handling posts. This may cause some delay. We have no control over that situation.
Browsers and servers respond differently at different times and receipt of anything in the system may be delayed by any number of circumstances; it’s the unfortunate downside of internet traffic. We have no control over that either.
I don’t know why any of your settings would have changed, I don’t think we’ve changed anything involving PMs except for increasing limits of stored messages.
I received a PM today, so I know it’s working.
