Pocket queens are good, but 3 times in a row? (poker)

I’ve never posted a poker rant but sheesh.

My last three tourneys I’ve gone out, all in before the flop, with QQ against KJ.

I mean my LAST three too, these were all last night:

A $30 multi table, with 850 people, which I’ve won before, on the very first hand. I raised big under the gun, got reraised, went all in and got called with KJo. Dude flops kings and jacks.

A $100 multi table, with 39 people, down to maybe a dozen, top 5 pays. I’m shortstacked. One limper to my big blind. I’m all in. Dude calls with KJo and flops trip jacks.

A $30 two table sit and go, on the bubble. This time the chip leader raises my big blind 4 times, apparently trying to steal. I push in. He calls and sucks a single king on the river.
Oh poker gods what have I done to offend thee?

Time to sacrifice another goat.

I must have said/done something too. . .

5h - 6d - 5d are out on the table. I’m sitting on a pair of Queens.

I lay low, betting $2 each round, just trying to build up the pot.

2c on the turn.

I bet a little more ($3), just watching who’s still interested.

9c for the river.

Now I’m thinking I’m in like Flynn, and have this puppy wrapped up (however painful it may appear). I drop another $2, and so does the guy next to me.

Me: “Well, I’ve got two sisters. . .” The guy next to me flips his pocket cards: two Kings.  :smack:

I didn’t have very good luck last night. Rarely do I ever. . . :frowning:

In a .50-$1 ring game last night with pocket QQ. I’ve been getting beat up all night by an utter moron who pulls cards out of his ass (typical hand, he calls a $10 pre-flop re-raise with 63os vs pocket 77 and pocket AA and catches two pair) so I only have about $10 in front of me. Moron raises to $1, I push all in and he calls. My QQ flips up, he flips up JTs. To go with the 9 on the flop, the 8 on the turn and the 7 on the river for a straight.

After which he told me I suck.

Ha! Isn’t that always the case?

The average online poker player seems to have the maturity level of a 6 year old.

Which is usually compensated for by their also having the playing ability of a six year old.
