pointless observation on discovery channel

Hi guys

I’m brand new to this forum, and found it after trying to find any info on this via the web. My question is…

Between a program ending for a commercial break and the first advertisement starting on Discovery Channel, there’s a clip of the earth spinning once.
Has anyone else ever noticed how big Hawaii is in comparison to all the other land masses and to compared to its actual size. Its huge.

I hope I’m posting this in the right forum as i know its really quite pointless, but it does slightly bug me every time I see it. It just seems to me that a channel that is geared toward being factual could allow something so ridiculous as the size of an island to slip by.

i guess i just want to know that i’m not the only one who has noticed this.

Many thanks
i hope all are well

I give it a 6.6.
And welcome!

Welcome, 8harmonics. I can’t say I’ve noticed that — mostly because I never watch the Discovery channel. But I’ll look for it tonight.
