I think we have to be online at the same time so your game will learn I have beaten the champ.
Want to do another trade or a battle to force the issue?
It shouldn’t be necessary, but we can. I’m starting to rack up a few Pokemon that need to be traded to Evolve, anyway…
OK. Let me know of any specific trades/evolutions you’d like to do. I have a Kadabra that I’d like back after evolving, so maybe we could help each other.
By the way, the latest craze: Berry Mutation.
Can’t get a Liechi Berry in the game, unless you grow two other berries next to each other; they cross-pollinate and mutate a random Liechi. So Bricker Jr. is frantically working on accumulating a complete berry inventory. I have been pressed into service to assist. Salac and Liechi, to pick (ha!) two examples, are both very useful items to carry into battle.
Your third is now visible: Klefki.
Good to know. I was beginning to worry it wouldn’t appear until I had also cleared Pokemon Y, which I have mostly neglected to this point.
If anyone is interested, I have Kee berries – the end result of a series of berry mutations.
Kee berries, if held by a Pokemon, raise its Defense one stage if it’s hit by a physical attack. Used with a Maranga Berry at the Juice Shoppe, it creates a custom juice that zeroes out all EVs on a single Pokemon (identical to the effect of the Reset bag in Super Training.)
I expect to have Maranga berries next week.
I now have Maranga and Kee berries.
Also rare Vivillons. (Ocean!!)
Anyone interested?
There aren’t enough Shiny and Dawn Stones available. Apparently you can get them as rare prizes in Super Training, but Super Training sucks.
Guys, I just got Pokemon Y this evening!
If you want to add my friend code, please do:

I will add you this evening!
Added you!
My son’s comment: Super Training is a huge improvement over the old method of finding an area with lots of Starlys and slaughtering them to train up your Speed EVs.
I just want the stones, I don’t care about EV training, so my priorities are a bit different than his.
If you’re asked: your Friend Safari is Electric type, with Electabuzz and Emolga as the available Pokemon. After you’ve beaten the E4 and the Champion, people who have friended you will also be able to catch a third Pokemon in your FS; that’s also when you will be able to see/catch Pokemon from the Friend Safaris of people who have friended you.
My FS is Fighting, with Pancham, Breloom, and Meditite available.
Ha HA! Found a loophole on the evolution stones that allows me to skip Super Secret Super Training, or whatever the hell it is.
Inverse Battle guy + Save Scumming = 3 of whatever stone (or Berry not otherwise available) I want, per day!
Huh. Is save and restarting until you get what you’re looking for really easier?
By the way – are there any berries that are “not otherwise available” except Starf and Lansat? I think I have them all through other means, but maybe I’m living in a fool’s paradise…
There are many berries you can’t find laying around. And some of them aren’t on the list of known mutations that I’ve seen. They are, in most cases, rarely found in the possession of wild Pokemon. Occa, Coba, Payapa… Maybe there’s another way, but capturing dozens of Mawile for an Occa berry is kind of a pain.
And yes, considering that Super Training doesn’t reward the stones most of the time, meaning you have to beat it over and over again with a qualifying time before you get even one of the stones you want…
Thank you for the info, Bricker! I really had no idea what was in my Safari.
Still at the first gym… This is going to take a while. Sigh.
May I ask where you are, geographically?
I ask because my son is trying to collect all the different forms of Vivillon. Those Scatterbugs you might have caught in Santalune Forest on your way to the first gym will evolve into Spewpas and ultimately Vivillons at level 14 – but the Vivillons will look different based on your country and state. In Virginia, our Vivillons are “Modern” forme – red and blue. California and Arizona have a brownish-green “High Plains,” coloration to their Vivillons. New England has a striking blue and white “Polar.”
So – can I ask where you are, down to the state? And more to the point; if you don’t have the “Modern,” Vivillon, would you care to trade Vivillons?
