Poker Face (Natasha Lyonne, not Lady Gaga)

I think he had a change of plans some point before Charlie ended in the hospital, which is why he told Bratt to wait until she was healed up. He just didn’t clue him into the plan.

Coming May 8th.

Woohoo! Thank you!

Ditto. Can’t wait

Reminder, three new episodes tomorrow.

Just finished the first three episodes. No bad ones, but none that stood out as great either. I’m glad that they resolved a plot arc instead of dragging it oit all season.

I’ve just started Season 1. It’s pretty good.

The special power they gave the character is interesting. I’m curious how it will be used in future stories.

2x04 was pretty goofy, but I liked it.

By the way, my interpretation is that a rat secretly works for law enforcement, while a mole secretly works for someone other than his apparent boss.

My understanding is a rat is a legit criminal who turns informant to law enforcement, while a mole is an undercover operative.

That is the normal usage of those words in this context.

That makes sense and fits the context of the episode

We enjoyed the first season, tho thought it lost a little steam towards the end.

Couldn’t get into S2ep1 last night, and turned it off before finishing. Just too convoluted with the same actor playing 5 or so characters. I think when we turned it off the one character was pretending to be another character who was pretending to be yet ANOTHER character! Some might enjoy that. For us, it just took it a little too far.

And a lot of it somehow seemed “meaner” than we recalled the first one.

Sure seemed to go a LONG time before we even saw NL.

Did S1 have the same sort of “fake” video takes illustrating what “could have” happened? I don’t recall them. And the folk just repeatedly blazing away at close range without hitting anything…

It is always a little disappointing when you are looking forward to th enext season of a show, only to be disappointed when it comes.

I laughed at Joseph Gerbils, the name of the victim in today’s episode.

Pretty low stakes murder this time. I wonder what the big CB Good Buddy twist for the season is going to be?

I forget if this has been explored on the series before, but do we know if Charlie’s ability to detect lies applies to purely in person conversations or to remote conversations as well?

In the first episode she watched the Big Whale over video feed and could tell that he was being truthful.

This episode might end up being my favorite. I laughed so hard and the villain-of-the-week was bonkers in a perfect way.

If this series goes on long enough we could have an older Stephanie track Charlie down seeking revenge.

Well Columbo lasted 35 years effectively starting with the 1968 movie, so could happen.

The openly admit to being heavily influenced by Columbo.

Fun episode, I really enjoyed it.
