I’m pretty much done. I’ve played these weekly games for years only to come to the realization that I’m just not any good at it. I thought that someday I’d get a handle on it or insight or something, but nothing. It’s time for me to be rid of the aggravation of trying to do something that’s just beyond my scope.
I have enjoyed playing with you guys and gals. There was a time that Thursday night was a highlight of my week, now I literally dread having a hand dealt to me. I really don’t have the first clue of what to do with any two cards and that’s just terrifying. That’s so much different than the feeling that I had when I thought I could win, and I just don’t have that feeling any more. What’s worse, I can’t imagine ever getting it back.
Don’t freak out. Other than poker, life is still fine. I haven’t played a live hand or online hand since last quarter, I have just lost my taste for the whole thing. Maybe someday I’ll get the urge and try it again, you never know.
I just didn’t want to leave you hanging, wondering why I wasn’t playing any more. It’s certainly nothing personal against the group, I’m just not playing poker at all.

Guys, I might be totally screwed for good…and that’s not good.
I’ve been on Poker Time all these years and for some reason (like last week), I couldn’t find our weekly game. One of you mentioned and linked Crazy Poker, so I just downloaded it, and found our game. But now it doesn’t recognize my account name that holds the $10.14. It says I must register, which means “new account”, which means “How the hell do I fund it?”
Did you try support at Poker Time? If they don’t support the microgaming anymore, could they cash you out in a manner that you could then fund Crazy with your big $10.14 roll?
I talked to Crazy Poker rep and he said that they don’t recognize other account names from other microgaming sites and plus “You’re a Yank, sorry mate.” I will try talking to a Poker Time rep, but I don’t know what they can do.
Let me know if you get anything worked out. I’m probably in the same boat you are.
The really sucky part is that when we had to leave Pokertropolis, I installed Crazy Poker. A few weeks later, when I launched the app and it was doing its self-updating thing, it came up as Poker Time and it has been ever since. (At the time, I figured Time bought out Crazy; it wasn’t 'til later that I found out it hadn’t happened that way to everyone.) So they hijacked me away from the site I wanted, then cut off access to the only game I play.
Overworked Ast found his way back to our game, but he needs to play next week to be standings-eligible.

I got a reply from Poker Time. It’s very polite and florid (he uses the word “unfortunately” three times), but it basically boils down to “for your convenience, we’re screwing you.”
