I’m not that familiar with the news shows and their various slants, but it is something I’ve been curious about for a while, so I thought I would lay it out before the Collective.
I tried to do a survey of this on my own, but I was a bit dismayed at the huge menu of different news/discussion/round table shows that are all over the cable news channels these days. I had a couple of them that I enjoyed watching several years ago (when we had a dish instead of cable), but I’m not going to say which ones, because I’d rather not hear “Well, if you enjoy so-and-so you’ll really like this-other-person.” This is not a plea for advice, it’s a poll of media bias.
With that being said- let me lay down a few ground rules to assist with clarity:
-
Please tell the name of the program if it’s different from the persons name.
-
Please tell the name of the network that they are affiliated with.
-
Please don’t just say “conservative”, etc. please try to give an example or two of how the newsperson has demonstrated such.
Thanks in advance!
