I’m also more nationalistic and militaristic in the short version, as well as significantly more anthropocentric. OTOH I’m less secular, visionary and anarchistic. I guess the answer is that with so few questions (and this is true even for the long version), any answer we give can significantly shift our results, especially if we don’t interpret the question the same way the test designers did. For example, I answered “I agree in part” to the question about having compulsory religious education, which I suppose shifted me towards the “fundamentalist” side. But I didn’t mean being indoctrinated into a specific religious tradition, I meant learning about the religious phenomenon and the main religious traditions of the world, and developing a critical but respectful attitude towards them.

Took a look at the statistics just now and noticed that 29% come out as “Other,” which doesn’t really speak well of the test for me.
Taken it twice, with and without weighting–came out a neoliberal Democrat, which isn’t so bad. It doesn’t have a category for what I actually consider myself these days, a left-leaning secular libertarian (or a “liberaltarian,” if you prefer), but I figure neoliberal isn’t too far off the mark.

Social democrat is adequate, but I’m a bit surprised that I’m obviously rather extremist and 58% communist, as I would rate myself rather moderate and in the middle of the (German) political spectrum.
Btw., the fact that the only other available language for the test is German, combined with some of the questions’ content and the resulting characterizations (e. g. “neo liberal democrat”, about which L. G. Butts, Ph.D. wondered, is a term which is used in Germany and refers to a significant part of the FDP, one of our parties which constitute the currently governing coalition) let me suspect that the test has a German origin.
ETA: I expected 100% secular, since I answered all the answers concerning this topic with the most extreme secular choice, but as others, I didn’t see the option for weighing one’s answers. Anyway, I’m not convinced by the test’s methodology.
