Politically Incorrect being Cancelled

Dieter: I’m truly sorry. I know you must hear that a million times. But still…

You make me feel like a LITTLE GIRL!

Count me in on the group that’s not sad to see it go.

What irritated me was that Maher didn’t back up his beliefs or statements. He could argue that the sky is red and all he’d say is “It’s Red! It’s Red. No, it’s not blue. No, it’s not blue. I have to go to a commercial, we’ll be right back”

Granted I didn’t watch it much when it moved to ABC because they put it on at 12:30 and once I got a regular job I couldn’t stay up late, but the times I did see it, it wasn’t worth much. Whoever said that the intelligence level of the guests dropped dramatically was right on.

Some of the intelligent guests on there had such an amused look on their face when they’d see some slapstick comic try to be serious.

Listening to Allysa Milano or Winona Ryder try to talk about something serious is nauseating.

ha ha

Ok, for that last comment…

nein. nein. NO. You can not touch my monkey.

(ok, that’s the last time I’ll hijack this thread)

I used to watch it on Comedy Central, but shortly after it moved I couldn’t stand it anymore, for reasons others have said. First and foremost, it pissed me off to hear dimwitted celebrities argue about stuff that they clearly knew nothing about - I would get so angry I’d fight the urge to bang my head against the TV.

You know those people who yak about current events, and if you watch the news or read the paper, you realize that all they are doing is repeating what other folks have said, and twisted everything all out of shape? And you want to scream that you watch American Morning for fifteen minutes while you do your hair and have breakfast and get dressed, and you still realize they are talking out of their ass and haven’t a clue? That’s what most of his guests seem like to me.

It all just got too staged and fakely controversial for me. The other day I was flipping through the stations and spotted Katie Couric interviewing Ann Coulter, and I nearly gagged over the pretentiousness and obnoxiousness of it. PI started feeling like that a few years ago.

Ithink it had slipped, and I never thought Maher was much of a comic, but I’m still sorry to see it go. I think it was brave alot of the time, because it was exactly what it said it was.

I didn’t like the way Maher was constantly interrupting his guests. Sorry man, but even if you don’t agree with them, ya gotta let them have their say.

Mind you, I think there’s a difference between interjecting and interrupting. I also recognize that there are times when you gotta cut a discussion short. However, it seemed to me that Maher was often uninterested in what his panelists had to say.
