Politicians with deep southern accents

Are there any who do not support turnp? I haven’t noticed any.

Does this have any significance? It almost seems like a signifier.

Bill Clinton comes to mind, unless his isn’t deep enough.

I don’t think you have been paying attention. Most Republican politicians, Southern or otherwise, do not like Trump either. They think he has corrupted the party.

But they’ll still side with him for congressional proceedings. They willingly use their mouths as his cockholster. That’s why they talk that way.

Not according to their public statements, for the most part, if we’re talking about sitting Republican Senators and House Representatives.

People with deep southern accents are probably from the South.

People from the South are racists.

Racists support Trump.

QED

I think I need a new handle… never noticed before, that’s too fucking close.

Cite? Trump’s approval rating his higher, and no Republican is holding him accountable for his actions.

Cite?

South doesn’t look any worst than the North here.

And only 3 southern cities in the 9 most segregated cities in America.

Then there’s that tiny little problem of the white south overwhelmingly supporting racist politicians and policies. But brownie points for the limited desegregation that they fought tooth and nail for a few centuries.

You are being facetious, correct? This southerner does not fit your stereotype, and Marylin Manson fits in the same shoebox as Sinead O’Connor and other 80’s has-beens trying to get their 15 minutes of fame back.

Steve Cohen?

James Carville?

I guess he’s not a politician, but a pundit with a heavy southern drawl.

Both are still better than Rush.

Also, don’t worry. I only meant white people from the South.

Rush blows penguins but are you suggesting Southern blacks aren’t racist? Because they’re half the reason I avoid The South.

Great start for a discussion.

It was a little diluted. My guess is it had to do with this very issue and his running as a dem. Also for the accent he did retain he was labeled the “first black president.” It could not have been that antebellum for that notion to arise.

I’d say hes the token liberal southerner. Jimmy Carter too. Neither of them sounded backwoods though.

Turn on the TV. There are no voices like that. There are: resistance, trumpers, and never trumpers. I haven’t seen one southerner who stayed a never trumper. I have seem them shift out of that into subservience though.

Um…Spoiler alert please.

I’d like to hear what he would sound like if he were to run. As a non candidate it sounds great.

I’d love a progressive redneck to run and lay it on thick actually.

You have an honorable name sir. darnold is another species completely. See how you feel tomorrow.
