I got poll challenged because I wrote down the wrong address. I wrote down the numbers of my new address and the street of my old address. I guess I was also supposed to change my address for voter registration or something. I still got to vote because I said I still got mail at my old address and that I still think of it as one my addresses. They then asked if I would take an oath to confirm certain information. Everything was good until I had to confirm that my old address was my residence. However, they did not have a defintion of residence and I found the term vague enough so I took the oath and voted. The woman who challenged was going on and on about how I already said I don’t live there. But the question was about residence not where I live. If I lived in Europe for six months my residence would still be in Michigan. And I will only be at the address I currently live for 5 months total. So I think my old address is my residence. I answered every question honestly, but I don’t know if my vote will end up counting.
