I went into this one, my second, feeling like I had learned my lesson, had matured, and had a solid understanding of what the promise of commitment means. I have had many moments along the way where I felt that principle trumped other day-to-day concerns.
However, we are both experienced with divorce (once you’ve done it, it’s no longer such a huge monster to consider). So, I can certainly envision an end point other than death doing us part.
