I want to change my answer. After hearing him attack Obama’s support of post-high-school education as being a “snob,” I think he’s certifiably insane.
That struck me as bizarre too. I think he has come to the conclusion that he isn’t going to get an votes from the thinking public so he is going full-bore fear and hate class warfare. At this point he is just throwing shit at the wall and hoping some of it sticks with voters who didn’t spend much time thinking about politics.
He guarantees a colony on the moon by the end of his second term?

Missed the edit window: I voted for Option 2 after reading the thread. I think of myself not so much as a “lapsed” Catholic as a “recovering” one. I do have loved ones who remain with the Church, some of whom I suspect would even choose Option 4 in this poll. I’m not prepared to declare them insane, so I’m choosing the weasel’s response.
It’s okay, though. I’m owning my weaselness.
