As I was link-following around Wikipedia, I came across the entry for “yawn” - and I genuinely yawned non-stop while I was reading it. So I was just wondering if it affected everyone in the same way.

Sadly, this is the case for most of my threads. 
Seconded. I haven’t checked the article yet, but I did yawn as soon as I read the thread title.
Seeing someone yawn makes me yawn every time, but reading about it didn’t. Maybe I lack imagination.
I’ve written poems about yawning that made me yawn too, ditto reading picture books out loud about it.
Thinking about yawning makes me yawn. No matter how the thought is triggered. Furthermore, yawning makes me sleepy. So if I want to go to sleep and am not yet sleepy, I jut think of someone yawning, which makes me yawn, which mekes me sleepy, which makes me go to sleep.
Thanks everyone. It seems deeply ingrained - even reading the thread title can trigger yawning.
I’m posting this at about 9.30am, after a solid eight hour sleep… and I just yawned.

When my kids were babies: if they yawned, I would yawn. But if I yawned, it wouldn’t make them yawn. I never noticed when/if that changed. I’ll have to ask them.
I read most of the Wiki article and all of this thread and have not yawned.
I could, however, feel the genesis of a yawn way deep inside, like a very mild dry heave. I tried to neither suppress it nor encourage it to surface. Nothing has happened.

I’m honestly not sure how to vote on this one; I was already a little bit yawny when I read the thread title, which may or may not have increased the immediacy of my impending yawn. Then I clicked the wiki link and definitely felt like yawning, though I can’t be sure that that yawn hadn’t already been brewing for a little while. I skimmed the page, mostly looking at the pictures, and halfway down I yawned. So, maybe? But then I yawned twice more just while writing this post. I’m going to stop saying “yawn” now.

The thread title made me yawn, as did reading the posts. Now I’m repeatedly yawning as I type this.
