Do you feel that you may someday fall off the wagon?
Well, a part of me says that one day when I’m ancient I will pick up my bad habits again. So, when I’m, say, 70 you might find me with a beer & cigarette. Or not. I don’t worry about it any way - if by chance I’m at a party and drink a couple beers and have a few cigarettes, I’m not going to think it’s the end of the world; or that I’m going to start back up.
I think quitting drugs back in the 80’s gave me a stubborn desire to ‘never be addicted’. Also, I was not much of a ‘daytime’ smoker - I didn’t have the little rituals like folks do (catch a cig on break, smoke one after lunch, etc.).
I don’t know how much help that will be to you, but I wish you well in your endeavor.
I tried to edit my original post, but time expired.
I did quit once for two years a long time ago (and started again :smack: ), but I don’t remember it being as much a struggle as it is now. Back then, I was able to exercise far more strenuously than I can now, but now, my reasons for staying off the cigs are far more compelling.
I am simply amazed that I think about this terrible habit as much as I now do.

Just returned from a trip to Iceland where I realized I was terribly out of shape.
