Not even a quart?
I *wish *it was all day, every day. But most weeks it’s between 4 and 6 days that I have a couple hours of quality alone time (before my LL tromps home). That’s still pretty good, though. The last place I lived, my LL worked early. And she was *always *home after I got off work in the evening. And she was *always *home on weekends, always. Rarely got a lick of solitude in that place.
The place I lived before that was with a stay-at-home-mom and their one (and later 2) pre-schoolaged children. And of course they were always there. My current situation is pretty lucky, I think. My roommate gets a couple hours alone time at the start of a normal weekday, and I get a couple hours at the end. And she also works Saturdays, so I get the house to myself allll day. And on Tuesdays she is off while I’m at work, so she gets the house to herself all day. yay!
Same.
I might get the house to myself once a year, if I’m lucky. My husband is disabled and works from home. My younger son works odd hours and is at Uni seldom (most of his study is online).
It is my idea of earthly happiness to have the house to myself for a few hours.
