Just me. It’s been three years since my husband and I separated. I really miss having a partner in the house.
I wish I could just make my peace with the situation, but the loneliness continues to eat at me.
My ex ended our 25-year marriage in 2014. It does get better, not uniformly but better. But I sympathize – the loneliness can be crushing. But there’s contentment, too. You’ll find your groove.

The last of 3 children moved out in 2006 so it’s just the wife and I now and we’re loving it! (grandchildren go home after visits

Yeah, we’re two people but I’m a single parent with an adult child, so a 1+ single parent option would have worked for me.
You can’t cover every option though. A year and a half ago it would have been two single adults (not a couple), plus my adult daughter, and a minor, the child of the other single adult. That would fit the it’s complicated option!
(In 525 sq ft, with all three adults working from home and the minor child being three years old, I am very glad we weren’t living like this during lockdown).
