This is pretty impressive. Some friends and I recently tried to see if we could do 100 push ups in 5 minutes (just for friendly competition). Nobody could, but we all got right around 90. The push up is not part of my normal work out routine, so I’m sure I could get there if I really wanted to.
The most I could rip off at one time was 50. Then I was pretty gassed.
When I was pledging in college I did 110 in about 2 minutes. I’d always been pretty fit and that’s the one time I remember maxing out. Nowadays, about 100 less than that.
I’m at work, so I can’t test right now, but last time I did some I did some, was when someone was claiming he was stronger than me, so I told him I’d do twice as many as he could do, he did 35. I stopped at 75, as I’d already sufficiently embarassed him and was getting tired, but I could have done more.
I’m guessing about 30. Right now I can do 20 after 15 minutes of swinging a heavy sledgehammer around. My upper body strength has always been pretty piss poor but I’m working on it now.
