POLL: How was your vaccine reaction?

Moderna booster last Saturday. Sore arm over the next day, fatigued for two days, then all back to normal, no other perceivable aftereffect.

Pfizer booster Tuesday afternoon. Sore arm Tuesday evening. Yesterday I had a slight temperature of 99.5 and decided to work from home. Around 2:00 pm (24 hours after the shot) I suddenly felt tired and took a nap, which lasted until 5:30. When I awoke I had a higher fever (101), ate dinner with a headache then went back to bed. Woke up today around 8 am feeling perfectly fine.

I had my Pfizer booster (3rd shot) Tuesday. All day Wednesday it felt like I had been punched in the shoulder. Today the shoulder only feels sore if I jab at it with my finger, so, you know, I avoid doing that. This is pretty much the same after effect I had with my 2nd shot. The 1st shot, I had no side effects.

Great, I’m getting the Pfizer next Sunday. I already primed them at work that I might not be there on Monday.

My bedroom is set up with wall switches by my bed. one turns on the ceiling fan, one turns on a space heater at bed level. I’m just going to put a couple of yeti glasses full of ice on the night stand and max out the doses of ibuprofen and Tylenol.

Sounds smart to me.

I took my gf for her third Pfizer Wednesday night. I asked how she felt last night and she told me her arm was slightly sore, more sore than her other arm.

I was puzzled by that statement until she told me she got her flu vaccine also.

Moderna #1: A roughly 2cm-diameter spot centered on the injection site was a little tender every time I poked at it like an idiot, otherwise nada.

Moderna #2: Ditto.

Moderna #3 booster: Finally learned to stop poking at the injection site(s). A little tired for a day, but it should be noted that I received my 2nd Shingrix vax in the other arm and that vax is known to have that effect too.

On the whole, I wish I’d had notable reactions and could thus be reassured that my immune system was doing its job.

Maxing out doses of ibuprofen and Acetaminophen paid off. Not as achy as the first shot. Work still sucked but it was bearable.

The Pfizer booster over J&J was what I expected except it feels like I was punched at the site of the shot. I didn’t experience that with the J&J.

I’ll add that my whole arm now hurts.

Just got my booster yesterday. Pfizer/Pfizer/Pfizer. Mildly sore during the day, but went to bed with chills. Slept pretty poorly, half the time too cold and half overheating. By early morning I also had a screaming headache. Woke up, took a Tylenol, which improved the remaining soreness but not the headache. Felt better after a hot shower, then napped for a few hours. Almost back to normal after waking up.

No reaction to first Moderna shot.
No reaction to second Moderna shot.
I just got back from my Moderna booster, arm hurts, head is pounding, feeling a bit nauseous.
WTF?

My reaction took about eight hours to set in, both times. Could your headache and nausea be about something else?

If you have an oximeter check what your oxygen level is.
