I hate ice so the OP scenario never happens at home. At work I would throw it in the sink.
Just thought I would share a tip I learned on “Get It Sold”. Apparently if you have divots in your carpet from old furniture placements, you’re supposed to put an ice cubes in them and let them melt. Then use a fork to fluff the fibers back up. Samantha Soto claims it “works every time”.
Yep - another plant person here…just throw it in there and let it melt.
