It works for me.
Yes, because God told me to be an atheist.
Interesting. I read the quote from Principia Discordia and it seems that they must be relying on people’s inability to swallow their explanation Regardless, I swallowed it and my conclusion is that it is lacking in practicality. It makes a single logical statement yet has only chaotic imiplications about how we, as men, should act. It is yet just another superimposed layer of the very stained glass grids it discusses. Although it purports that they are all equal, perhaps it itself is just a bit thicker. Oh and I forgot. It goes by another name. Subjectivism. Purporting that each way of looking at the unchangeable and unknowable unknown is an equally valuable way has been around for a long, long time. I give them credit in that only a few can speak of knowns and unknowns as gracefully as Donald Rumsfeld
You’ve already posted in this poll-I suggest strongly that you move on.
Yes.
(Then again, they found 2 construction beams in the shape of a cross in the wreckage of the World Trade Center so that “proves” there must be a God. )
Ayup.
Who says logic is logical?
Atheism is not logical. Neither is theism. The only truly logical stand is agnosticism, which says, “I don’t know.”
Yes. Extreamly logical.
yes
Indubitably
And **lisa_lund,**will you tell me where that line came from, and who said it? It’s right on the tip of my brain, but it"s securely anchored there, and it’s driving me mental. My addy’s in my profile.
(Mods:lisa’s addy isn’t listed,or I would have contacted him off-thread.Hope you’ll forgive me.)
Yuperooni.
Yes.
Impossible to answer with a simple yes or no. It would depend entirely upon what an individual believes and what they want or need to believe.
Yes. Considerably more logical than inventing a mythical supernatural force from wishful thinking or ignorance.
I’ll step in for Ilsa_Lund, here. I gave a hint in my post, above. It’s from Molly’s soliloquy, at the end of James Joyce’s Ulysses.
Yes.
Yeppers.
Thou are forgiven. Now go forth and sin no more.
