Heard of Beck, Limbaugh, O’Reilly and Coulter. Wouldn’t say that equates to “familiar with”.

I’m not sure I’ve ever even heard any of them speak except maybe in the odd sound grab. There may have been an interview between O’Reilly and Stewart somewhere on youtube.

They sort of meld into genre. I probably wouldn’t be able to identify any of them if they didn’t have a mike and a name tag.

Pretty much what I was going to say- I’m in Australia and I know their names but couldn’t tell you anything about them, their appearance, or their views/affiliations. And the only reason I even know their names is because of The Internet (or more specifically the SDMB).

I’ve seen Beck and O’Reilly in action, largely via Jon Stewart and Charlie Brooker, and I know about Limbaugh and Coulter. Not Malkin.
Unfortunately, the way the poll is worded none of the answers apply to me.

Duch here, I watch the daily show online and read the Pit threads, Malkin didnt ring a bell for me, She’s not the congres woman with the crazy eyes( no that was Bachman)

Because of the poll choices, I had to lie a teensy bit - I voted “all”, but actually I don’t recall Malkin. Though the name rings a bell.

Then again, I do frequent the SDMB, so am exposed to them a lot more than other Brits would be.

I know all of them well except for Malkin, who I guessed at (incorrectly, it turns out). So I voted for Limbaugh/Beck/O’Reilly, even though I know Coulter as well.

This really would have been better as a multiple choice poll, wouldn’t it?

This. If it wasn’t for the Dope, I wouldn’t have a clue. Might just about have heard the name ‘Glenn Beck’ but it wouldn’t mean much of anything to me.

I’m a news junkie and follow US and UK stuff pretty closely I download things like Real Time with Bill Maher and we get The Daily Show over here. I also have read this board for 10 years.

I know all of the above.

I ‘know’ everybody in as much as I know their names, but I couldn’t pick Malkin out of a crowd; the others I have at least a decent idea of. Just went to wiki and read the titles of Malkin’s books, and I think that’s about all I’ll ever need to know about her.

There’s no option for:

I’ve heard of Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O’Reilly and Anne Coulter, but not Michelle Malkin.

The only Malkin I know of is a Russian hockey player in Pittsburgh.
Canadians pretty much share all of your same media though.

I don’t know Malkin, but I do know the rest (and the earth will be a better place when Ann Coulter gets taken down by the hellhounds when her deal runs out). Without the Dope, I think I would know about O’Reilly, and maybe Coulter because she’s said some pretty stupid things about Canada, too.
