Poll: Would you ever have Plastic Surgery?

It’s like boob jobs, guys almost unanimously say they hate them but women almost unanimously report immediate improvement in their attraction of guys after getting them. We only notice bad boob jobs, so we compare bad boob jobs vs natural boobs and good boob jobs and reject them.

I had plastic surgery when I had a small melanoma scooped out of my cheek. The surgeon did a great job–nobody can see the scar unless I point it out to them.

I’ve considered having my my lips done, because I feel the bottom one is a bit fuller than my top one, but I am too afraid it will come out bad. I don’t want a face lift or anything weird. I’ve always thought about getting a boob job, but nothing serious. So, a solid maybe.

My uncle married this woman. I swear to god, her mother has had plastic surgery. The good kind. This woman is run down looking, and always has been, and her mother looks younger than my mom (and her mother is older than my grandmother was). It was a gradual thing. I was drunk at a party once and asked her if she had work and she went . Which makes me think she did. If she didn’t, she would have laughed if off.

I had a bad accident and never questioned the dozen or so reconstructive surgeries. Does that count?
If I wanted to change something and it could be done and I could afford it, I’d consider it positively. However, I know for a fact that there can be unintended consequences. It helps if you are coming from something that is really bad because then any improvement is helpful. If you are a perfectionist shooting for some exact movie star look, you could be disappointed. Results can vary. There can be infections and scaring. Nerve impingement and pain can occur. Sometimes it’s better to be yourself as you were made.

Have you seen these women naked? Or even clothed, but without a bra and vigorously active?

Fake boobs don’t move like real ones.

The right bra, maybe with padding, will do this too. Or, in some cases, any number of other measures to encourage her to be more confident and outgoing and sexy-in-her-mind.

I haven’t had any, but I am planning to have my tummy tucked as soon as I lose the amount of weight recommended for the procedure.

I’d consider it if I had the disposable income and felt the need to have it done.

The women in my family look way younger than they really are, though, so I doubt I’ll ever need it.

Plus, scars.

At least not without your permission.

I had my whole lower lip rebuilt after it was severed in a car wreck when I was 10. For the last couple decades I’ve played “Find the Scar/Guess the Surgery” with people; so far I’m completely undefeated. Many times people have refused to believe I’ve had anything done until I roll down my lip to show them the scar.

As for more elective procedures, I’d like to eventually have about 10 pounds taken out of my boobs and get them hoisted considerably.

Yes, but skillful surgeons (and a bit of luck) can minimize scarring. I don’t think anything can make bags of silicone or saline move like natural mammaries.

If I had the money, I’d run through a whole list: chin/neck lift, boob lift (mine are huge but the unfortunate victims of multiple pregnancy droop), lipo on my stomach and butt and a tummy tuck.

I run and eat right, but there’s this “flap” that just won’t go away and it coincides nicely with my C-section scar. I’d cut that shit off in a New York minute.

I’m trying to get a breast reduction right now, actually.

Reconstructive, yes. Vanity cosmetic, no.

For those saying no, what about to remove a growth? Say you get a big, non-cancerous mole on your face. Go for the cosmetic, or keep your natural appearance?

I consider it a luxury, and there are things I’d rather do with my disposable income.

But if it were less costly, there are more than a few procedures I’d sign up for in a New York second.

Keep it. It worked for Cindy Crawford.

I’m all for it for removing moles and warts and the like. if i had a huge mole on my face i’d have it removed

I have thought about getting plastic surgery for a while now. Not to do a TMI, but I have…lumps. All over my legs, torso and arms. And lots and lots of red bumps. Both things run in my family. And I’d love to get them removed, as some of them are quite painful.

I don’t mind being fat, don’t mind going bald, don’t mind going gray…but I really, REALLY hate the lumps and bumps.

I had breast reduction surgery twelve years ago. Yes it was mostly medically indicated, but there’s the whole looking so much more in proportion part as well. So yes, I’ve had it, and not for purely reconstructive reasons.

Now I need to win the lottery to get a bit of a touch-up.
