31° Celsius at noon. Going to get a few more in the afternoon.
It’s unreal. About 32, 33 here now in Amsterdam.
Last night I placed a digital thermometer in my living room. At 23:00, it was still 27 degrees!
Clog Boys weren’t built for this type of weather, you know!
Don’t move to Taiwan, then… 30something Celsius is NORMAL for Taiwan summers. Which is why we always have the ACs on hard enough to push you back out the door…
Yeah, but that’s the thing… we don’t HAVE AC’s here. AC in cars is just now becoming mainstream (well, Schnitte’s from Germany, it’s different there). My car doesn’t have AC. My home doesn’t have it. And good LORD my office doesn’t have it.

31°C? It’s going to be that hot and hotter for the next three months!
I hate the weather in So. Cal.
OK, a cliché coming up. It’s not the heat, it’s the humidity.
I’ve done 35 Celcius in SoCal, and I’d trade a week of it for one day of 30 Celcius in Amsterdam. It’s like walking through a rain forest right now.
Well, that’s true. I lived for 11 years where the temperature would reach as high as 115°F in the summer (although normal summer temperatures were under 110°F). “But it’s a dry heat!” I was working on a film in New Orleans several years ago and the temperature was 90°F and 100% humidity. I’d get out of the shower and not know when to stop drying!
Still, I’d prefer to have cool, wet weather. Lots of green trees. Someday…
BTW: There’s a T-shirt in New Orleans that says, “It’s not the heat, it’s the stupidity!”
(And another one that says “Third World and proud of it!” – N.O. is my favourite city, inspite of the summer heat.)
“It’s not the heat, it’s the inhumanity.”
Rush lyric off the new album.
It’s 32°C in my office near the river Rhine… no AC… just a fan blowing hot air into my face… GAHH! Make it stop! Make it stop!
As you can tell from my post, my brain shuts off at temperatures higher than 25°C. Like Clog boys, Kraut girls weren’t made for these temperatures
Let’s see, that’s 87.8°F.
Oh. Gee. That’s terrible.
110-120°F (43-49°C) <-- It’s a hot heat.
Feh. Complaining about 30C. It gets well over 570 degrees on the Rankine scale here, and it’s humid as a hell buffalo’s armpit.
I don’t know if there are buffalo in hell, nor am I sure if they have armpii, but I couldn’t think of anything better.
