In the song by Bill Anderson where he’s singing about being Poor Folks he mentions that Grandpa’s pension is $1.32 which is $10 less than their rent.
I wonder what time frame that would have been the case? The 1920s? Late 1800s?
Any ideas? Or is it just artistic license?
