Myst (Got really lost early on)
Legend of Dragoon
Any of the Tomb Raider games.
I’m in the middle of a long hiatus in playing WCIII (Early in the Night Elf campaign), but I intend to go back once I’ve got a little more time to play.

The first Hitman game. I got to the final level where you have to kill 10 or so clones of yourself and kept getting killed in about 30 seconds. Played that level for about a week and gave up.
Oddly, I finished Hitman 2 in about 2 weeks without much trouble.
Which one?
There’s 11 of them.
Which one for the PS? There’s 3 of them.
Everquest.
Okay, I know that doesn’t count, but I just got bored with the constant leveling up.
An old SNES game, the one after Secret of Mana(one the the characters was a werewolf). I got to where I was supposed to go back and fight all the bosses, after the encounter with the mana tree, and decided to go to something else for a while. Eventually I will get back to it.
Of course, I said the same thing about Earthbound. Same situation there, except in twoson.
You do realize that you can sneak in, don’t you? Just get some robes and wear them(maybe a medallion from the cathedral)
Planescape: Torment. The game got good reviews and it had entertaining moments, but I never bothered to further the game story much after leaving the mortuary, much less finish the game.
HPL - The first one, of course. The one where you actually got to pick the exact four characters you wanted and could go anywhere in the world accessible to you.
Still didn’t make up for never being able to see what was about to attack you and, oh, the HUGE areas where you couldn’t use a house. Some of which damaged the party with every step.
I’m not forgiving at all when it comes to electronic gaming. If it doesn’t work for me, I’m outta there.
(Will get the Pro Action Replay this weekend, as the Codebreaker appears to have vanished off the face of the earth. Hoping I can finally conquer GT3 then…)
Black and White - I never could control the game and my cow was a bloody moron.
Final Fantasy 3/6j (the numbering conventions were off, don’t ask) - I am really trying to finish this one. It took me so long because when I was young I would rent it, which wasn’t enough time to beat it. And people saved over my games. The pain of cartridges.
Hitman 2 - I kept getting annoyed because people simply went around shooting the Russian soldier (me in a costume) when he was jogging in the direction of the bathroom. The game could have been a LOT better if all the guards hadn’t been psycopaths just itching for a chance to shoot each other (well, you).
Riven - I admit it, this game stomped me into the ground. I STILL have no idea how to beat the damn gridboard puzzle.

The Two Towers - PS2. I suck at these types of games. I’m always too excited and pushing the buttons just before I should have pushed them and getting myself killed as a result. Other then that I finish every game I buy. I feel cheated if I don’t.
Final Fantasys 7, 8 and 9 were the only ones released originally on the PS, but Square has since released 1 thru 6 for the PS as well. (Final Fantasy Anthology, Chronicles and Origins.) (They released Chrono Trigger on one of them as well.)
Technically I never beat the last boss in Final Fantasy 1 and 2(a), but I consider them ‘finished’ nevertheless.
Hmmm, recently the only game I didn’t finish was Pirates, The Legend of Black Kat for Xbox.
It depends on the genre as to weather I’ll finish it, it seems.
I always finish FPSes except System Shock 2, which my friend borrowed and hasn’t returned, and Deus Ex,which got kinda boring. I don’t know how you could NOT finish Half Life. That was an intriguing game, start to finish and the footage of the sequel blows me away.
I can’t think of a single RPG I’ve ever finished. Diablo, Baldur’s Gate, Freedom Force. I tried but just can’t devote the time.
RTSes are a mixed bag. I’ve finished C&C:Red Alert 2 and Generals, but not Tiberium Sun or StarCraft. I think mainly because RTSes are just more fun with multiple players.
I don’t think they released FF3 (the actual thrid one made) on the playstation, or in the US at all.
Conformity.
In general, I’ve noticed problems arise when the games give me too much to do and it’s no longer worth it to hop in and play. Like, I have to run BACK to town and train, then run all over the place doing a dumb quest so I can hunt again…etc. (Former DAoC player here)
I don’t think I’ve ever finished a game… but I fit into that demographic of young female gamers who don’t want linear games, apparently. (My Sims kick ass.) Notably, though, there’s Riven. I was having a great time running around in it, sneaking up on those penguin sunner things, riding the rollercoaster railroad… but it just became too much of a hassle to turn every little lever and figure out what effect was caused. I always thought it would be a great real life theme park sort of thing, that you could visit with a bunch of friends.
“Okay, Terry, go stand by the water tower. I’m pushing the rusty button, is anything happening? No? Okay, turn the spigot.”
Then one of my CDs got messed up somehow, and I was already fed up with it, so I never tried to get it fixed.
Dang, my list would be really long because I’ve been playing games since my old C= Vic 20 days. I’ll just keep it to acclaimed games that I enjoyed. I won’t count games I played for 10-15 minutes and didn’t like, don’t care how highly rated they are.
Zork 1. Even by todays standards, the game area was huge. Even made a huge map that sprawled across my wall. Sold my Vic 20 with all the games for it.
Roadwars Europa. Think it was steven jackson board game originally. Changed computer platforms and couldn’t find an Amiga version.
Cyberpunk. Great game, reached a point where I was walking around without a clue on where to proceed next and never got back to it.
UFO. Was a good game but it was too slow on my machine.
Deus Ex. Was a good game but never was any good at the sneaking part.
GTA3 made it to the 3rd island but didn’t like the missions. Plus it was hard to do timed missions because every friggin gang in the city is pissed off at you by then.
FF1 takes a lot of time and patience to finish. It took me something around a year to finish it(granted, I stopped playing entirely for most of that time). Actually, the tough part is just getting past the damn marsh cave. After that, it starts to get easier.
FF3j is really fun, considering there are no houses or tents(though you do get an airship lator on that has an inn on it).
3j is my favourite game in the series. It’s the easiest of the NES games, and, in fact, easier than IV, too. About on par with V and VI.
