I’m in OE 6. The fourth option I have is “Show ToolTips in the message list for clipped items.”
Sounds great… is this something an individual employee can get running on outlook without help from the IT department?
The manual says I’d need to change my e-mail address info. I use Outlook 2000, and don’t see any way to do this. Help files are typically non-helpful here.
Hmm, that is quite bizarre. I will see what I can find out.
I tested the Outlook XP registry hack and it works great btw.
I currently work for a newspaper and as secretary for an editorial news group I check and forward the email from the email addy that is published in the newspaper. We get upwards of 60 emails a day. Over the weekend there is always over a hundred when I come in on Monday. I have found that most of the porn you can identify from the subject line (or lack of subject line) and I’ve been told to just delete them without even opening, if I think it’s porn. Now and then there is one that I don’t identify before opening and of course the offensive images show up, the company as an email addy for me to send these particularly offensive emails to. It is my understanding that they then try to block them from something in the address. I also get at least two variations of the 419 scam solicitations a day.
Ok, I found the answer. That feature was added in IE6 Service Pack 1.
Oh, okay. I haven’t downloaded that, but I’m not going to futz around with it here at work. When I get home I’ll see how my OE there looks; maybe it needs the IESP.
