well, by now, many of us have heard the news. 6 major US ports have been sold to the United Arab Emirates for something likt 5.8 billion dollars.
Is this a problem for you from a national security standpoint? have you any reservations over it? want to jump into the political consequences? what about how george the bush says he knew nothing about the deal until a day or so afterwards? does this cement your belief that the administration is really the onle with the power in the white house?
My only real question is: Aren’t there enough threads on this subject currently on the board? What more are we going to get out of another one that hasn’t been said in the myriad preceeding ones?
Other than that, am I worried about this sale? Not particularly. Am I surprised that GW didn’t know about it before hand? Not particularly. Do I think its a problem from a National Security perspective? Not particularly. Do I think a lot of hay is being attempted to be made out of this, politically speaking? Certainly. Do I think folks are frantic because they don’t really understand whats going on? Certainly?
