Poser or Poseur?

How do you spell the word that says “wannabe”? The word that spells “ASS KICKING” if you show up at a hardcore show wearing a Green Day shirt?

I say there’s no ‘U’ in Poser.
Comments? Debate? Discussion?

Well, don’t take the Dutchman’s word for it, but…

“Poser” is a valid English word.
“Poseur” is a valid French word.

Moosie, please flame me if I’m wrong

er, I mean the English language common usage word. I’ll not tolerate these, how do you say, “facts” in my debate!

In particular, I mean the US English term. I know nothing about European oddities of language.

Oh yeah? Well, Ginger Rogers did everything that Fred Astaire did. Backwards. In high heels. - As per Wally

‘Poseur’ is a joke - it’s from French, a language affected by those who wanna sound posh. Poseurs, in other words.
