I was scanning through the articles on ananova and came across this one
Mystery Apes
Basically someones had found a new type of ape in the congo that stands 5 to 6 feet tall and they are performing genetic tests to determine if it is a new species or a hybrid.
Does anyone know where there is further information on this?
I Googled “congo mystery ape” and got a bunch of hits – the first hit had a still photo taken from a video tape. I read the first three hits and all three had more info than was found on your link. Very interesting story – I hadn’t heard about it before. I’ll be watching developments with interest.
