A truck has driven through a group of people, killing three, and crashed in Åhléns on Drottinggatan in downtown Stockholm. On person is arrested, and the Swedish PM has classified it as a terrorist attack.
Since there is already a thread on the subject and this has no replies I’m just going to close it.
I’ve now read that no one was arrested and they have released pictures of the suspect.
Five dead. Three armed men jumped out of the truck and fired into the crowd. Two arrests, one still at large.
I would take that claim with a pinch of salt if I were you, because I can’t find this reported by any Swedish media, and I would have expected the police to have mentioned it at their latest press conference if it had happened.
Swedish media reporting four dead as of now. Lots of rumors, it seems. There have been reports of shots fired in multiple locations, but the police are confirming none of them.
+1. This is why I always ignore the fine details of any major event, especially terrorist events, until 48-72 hours have passed. Way too much baseless speculation otherwise. (Anyone else remember John Doe #2?)
