That’s weird. I didn’t even take that test because the website says “Connections over 8mbit/s are not supported.”
What kind of connection are you using?

3.9 megabits per second! Wo wo!
Darned fast…I am on cable. I wouldn’t even consider going back to dial up.
5.something megabits down and about 500 k up. dslreports.com gives me a “Dude!” rating.
This is at home. At work, there are so many gateways, proxies and whatnot, that speed tests generally bomb out entirely or come up with absurd results like 79 bytes/sec, which is worse than an old Teletype.
4.3 Mbps down, 875 kbps up, according to dslreports. I’m a little more than halfway between “very fast” and “dude!”
Cable, on Optimumonline.
According to Bandwidthplace 2.6 Mbps with cable.
927.2 kbps according to bandwidthplace which they rated as good. I have Earthlink ADSL.
2.2 Mbps (“great”) according to bandwidthplace, using cable.
Just got cable after years of 56K…what a blessing.
Communications 117.8 kilobits per second
Storage 14.4 kilobytes per second
1MB file download 1.2 minutes
Subjective rating Mediocre
Well… That didn’t come as a surprise, seeing as though I’m at work and we use an antique 128 kbps line dating back to the early 1800s…
Can’t wait to try my new (just signed up for it) ADSL 40/3 Mbit service at home though!
Way too damn slow… so why am I even posting? sighs
All right, all right… I’m still on the slowest modem ever, and the fact I can access these board is something else again!
Ran the test again, using my cellphone connection because RoadRunner is undergoing maintenance.
Not terrible, but so much slower than my cable.
DSL Reports says
Work: 972 kbps Down, 1629 kbps up.
Home: 728 kbps Down, 112 kbps up.
Fast enough I guess.
