What did the misses say when you chased them? Catch any?
Well well, I’m starting to feel like the kid in the crowd. I’ll be 63 next January and
still golf every day (in summer) and play hockey with my grandsons (in winter)
Its all in your head for the most part. I still think I’m 35-40.
At least I’m still on the right side of the grass,So far!
You got me beat by 24 years, Grampa.
I said, YOU GOT ME BEAT BY 24 YEARS!
Alright, Alright,I’m stupid,I ain’t DEEF!!!
When do you become eligable for full Social Security?
Are you looking forward for that date or have you decided to keep working…assuming you haven’t chosen to retire already?
As you look ahead, how different to you feel now than you felt when you were 40?
As you look back is there anything you’d have done differenlty?
- Full Social Security at 65 yrs 6 months, but I chose to retire at 62.
- Less physical activity, though I like to think my mind is still sharp.
- Oh Hell yes! Paid more into Social Security for one.
Do my past lives count?
Otherwise, I’m really freaking old for a chameleon.

Hah! I’m 169 … Mercury years old.
[QUOTE]
Which makes you less than 3 1/2 years old on Jupiter and just legal on Mars
If you meant me Jake ;
I retired early @62 last June.
I’m not as active as I was in yrs. past but I do OK. I golf all summer. YES I said golf!
Three of my grandkids play rep Hockey and I ride the busses with them in the winter.
I mentioned this in an earlier thread somewhere else. I don’t get as worked up over a lot of issues now as I did when I was younger. I’ve always been a cynic, so I don’t think thats the reason. I think a lot of it has to do with being a Psych. Nurse all my adult life and seeing the things I saw and dealing with what I sometimes had to deal with, I developed the attitude that what a lot of people think of as a big deal is not, in the grand scheme of things, all that important. Yes, at the time, it may seem very important to them and if they want to obscess over it,fine, but to me its “not so much”.
I think if you’re fortunate enough to live 60 yrs. and not make a decision which, with the luxury of hindsight, you wouldn’t go back and change, you’re probably lying. To yourself or someone else. I think we’ve all said something or done something that on second thought we most likely shouldn’t have but I don’t think this is what you mean.
If i understand you correctly my answer would have to be no. I have three great kids(1 boy, 2 girls) HA! Boy. He’s 43! Eight teriffic grandkids (four of each variety), a woman who loves me and still gets excited when she hears the car pull into the laneway, so, no, I guess I’m pretty lucky. Not that I wouldn’t mind winning the lottery Fri. night. 25,000,000. I’d pay a few bills off with that!
Apparently I’m a little long-winded as well. Anyway, thanks for asking
Thanks, I have several grand children and 5 great grandchildren My eldest grandchild is 33.
Believe it or not getting older is good!
Monavis
I’m 58 tomorrow, Friday the 13th. In dog years, I’m already dead.
Damn those cracked and tampered odometers.
Happy Birthday! Mine is tomorrow, as well, but I’m slightly younger.
And you still can’t lick yourself!
Sucks to be you!
We’re practically twins, I’m sure.
Well, I did live in the North for a long time.
I guess Mr. Simmons hasn’t seen this thread. I believe he is our most senior member, with his age somewhere in the 70s.
Monavis !!!
I bow at your feet. Five great grands! Thats amazing!
I only hope I live that long. I know what fun grandkids are, I can only imagine what great grands are like.
Whoa! monavis, you are damn near 4 times as old as me. I feel all sorts of young.
I’m 59.5; redeemed my first Roth IRA last month.
