Is there a rule here against this? I mean other online forums, obviously it would be against the rules here to post the same topic in multiple forums.
I ask for a reason.

And yes, I looked and looked in the rules section first. I really thought I saw something about this before. But I can not find.
Why would it be?
I don’t know. It’s that I thought I saw something about it here before. That it is seriously frowned upon or something.
If a poster is a member of several boards and wants to discuss a single topic on them why should s/he have to compose several different OPs? Then there are threads on current events which are all pretty similar on all boards. We need more threads here anyway.
As far as I as a Mod am concerned, you can do this. It’s only when we think some new poster is doing it to “spam” boards that we act.
You are allowed to post the same thing here as on other forums sites.
At some point it becomes spam, but exactly how many sites you have to post to before it’s considered a spam isn’t well defined. If you post the same thing to two or three forums it’s no biggie, but if you post it to 25 or 30 forums that’s probably going to get you flagged as a spammer.
Another big consideration is whether or not you are active on those multiple message boards. If you regularly participate in 5 different forums and decide to cross-post something to all 5, that’s different than someone who never participates in any of them and decides to spam all 5. Most folks frown on spamming the same message to multiple boards that you don’t participate in, but that’s a general internet thing and not a SDMB rule.
You can also get yourself in trouble if you do it in such a way that it starts board wars.
Overall though, we’ve allowed cross-posting to multiple sites in the past and there’s no rule against it now.
OK then, thanks!
