Power Point problem- ever had this happen?

I’m working on a Power Point presentation and I need to edit a slide. Unfortunately, I can see it on the left hand toolbar, but I can’t see it on the right, if that makes any sense. (The slide isn’t “hidden”.)

When I hit “Play Slideshow” it shows up just fine (except for the text I need to add). However, while every other slide shows up just fine in the editing panel, this one doesn’t. Any idea what’s wrong? (The slide is all graphics and I need to enter text, if that helps.)

Does anybody know what I’m talking about?

So, wait. . . you’re in ‘normal’ view and it shows up in the left list of slides, but when you choose that slide on the left, what’s in the right panel? Nothing? What happens if you go into ‘slide’ view? It skips it?

I had something similar to that happen to me last week while I was using OpenOffice Impress. I had accidentally dragged the slide in the editing pane to the right and down so it was no longer in view. All I had to do was use the bars on the pane to move it back.

Not sure, but it sounds like you inserted a jpeg directly into your slideshow. I generally start a new slide and bring the jpeg into it, but believe that you may be able to just insert a jpeg. Try inserting a new slide into your presentation and then insert the graphics file into that blank slide. Also, can you delete the one that is giving you problems?

Shift+Click on the Normal View switcher button in the lower left corner. That will reset the splitters to the default pane sizes.
