Haaalp! Boss got in over her head with a video presentation using powerpoint 2010 and has several video files that were apparently filmed sideways. When they were imported, they of course remained sideways, and even with all the neat gizmos in 2010 PP, there doesn’t appear to be a “rotate 90” option for video files (stills, yes). Not my area of expertise, as I don’t use PP at all. But thought I’d ask the awesome folks at the SDMB for help, or at least info.
So…
Can video files be flipped in PP 2010?
If so, how?
If not, any suggestions, other than refilming, of course.
Thanks for any help, Dopers!
Steve
You need a conversion tool to rotate the video. There are many freeware options that do this.
Use a freeware conversion tool to rotate the video, BEFORE attaching them to the powerpoint presentation.
Need answer fast?
Have been in that situation when an overseas visitor arrived to give a presentation and found themselves with that problem a couple of minutes before the meeting, literally as people were coming into the room.
Our solution was to turn the projector on its side!
Get Irfanview… it is free. look for it in the internet. You can rotate all files with it.
Windows Movie Maker will also do this, but as others have said, you need to rotate the video before importing to PowerPoint.
