Okay, let’s try this.
Damn.
Help please?
[spoiler]text goes here[/spoiler)
Replace the parentheses with a square bracket.
Running coach to the rescue! Okay, here I go again:
Flippin’ hades! :smack::smack::smack:
All I want to do is make a spoiler box.
You need “spoiler” not “quote”
Okay, trying again:
running coach is kind
:D:D:D
Yippee! Now I feel like a real Doper! Thank you, running coach.
I’ll take “directions to New York landmarks” for 800, Alex.
How does one get to Carnegie Hall?
someone forgot to put it in the form of a question
I give up. How did you know the OP was trying to do spoilers?
Running coach is a charter member. Those guys have supernatural powers.
Testing:
Depends on where you’re starting, but generally the R train.
FYI, you can use noparse tags to demonstrate coding.
If you code:
[noparse][noparse][/noparse][/noparse]
it will display as:
[noparse][/noparse]
And you can always “quote” a post that has the formatting you are trying to replicate. In the text box the coding will be revealed.
So, if you didn’t know how to do [del]strikethrough[/del] you could quote this post and you will see the coding.
Except it doesn’t show anything in a quote box. Hence my confusion about how running coach knew that the OP was asking about spoiler tags.
Waltzes said in post 2 that was the intent. Looks like it was edited out.
I wasn’t answer that question- just offering another way to figure coding out. It puzzled me too.
Yes, I edited out a few lines, but in those five mins while I was pruning, running coach had already captured the deletions in a quote.
