OK, yes, PragerU’s videos can help reinforce indoctrination into whatever we’re calling the US’s present rightwing ideology. But apparently, what they now provide for classroom instruction is half-assed and bad. They know nothing about pedagogy & care less.
I was never an education major, so this critique was actually based on principles previously unfamiliar to me. But as spelled out here, it’s striking how sloppy PragerU’s “educational” material is:

The Statue of Liberty is a sore point for me. It was designed as a celebration of the end of chattel slavery, but most white Americans ignore that? But even if you buy into the apparent dominant narrative that it represents immigration (from Europe), PragerU seems unwilling to talk about that, or the meaning of liberty, or of Liberty personified at all; bad sign.
I’ve watched videos about this uh, institution, before. They have an anti-BLM episode with Frederick Douglass talking to kids about how it’s bad to protest and he was willing to compromise by waiting for policy changes rather than encourage rebellion. Frederick Douglass, whose support of the Civil War was full-throated in hopes it would end slavery.
Prager U appeared in my radar when climate change deniers appeared in several Prager U “educational videos”.
One of the best debunkers, Science Reporter Peter Hadfield, had a few reports about the science denial and indoctrination that Prager U is doing:
It was really sick when Ron Desantis declared recently that he was making changes to “prevent our kids from indoctrination” while allowing it now in industrial quantities from a right wing outfit.
