Can these fuckers get any more depraved?
Not sure the Australian case supports the proposition, as purile as it may be.
At the moment, after blithely, sheepishly, in overwhelming compliance of these self-same egregious breaches of our right to free speech, free assembly, interstate and intrastate movement, quarantine and contact tracing based on the prevailing scientific evidence Australia is in the situation that there is currently nobody (that’s na dah, zilch, zippo, jack shit and bugger all combined people) in hospital with COVID-19.
Mr Prager, what have your freedom of dissent got you?
And were you to fall foul of the infection would you dose up on zinc and hydroxychloroquine or push your way to the top of the queue for a bed in an intensive care unit?
Never ask a question like that, because it invites an answer.
I’ve hated that guy since we had to read a book he wrote in an informal class I took at my Hillel in college.
My school had these “Life enhancing” or something (I forget what they were called) and students who lived in dorms had to take one every semester when they were freshmen and sophomores. The classes didn’t count for credit, but they did count toward you classload as far as whether you had enough classes to be full-time, and therefore stay in the dorm, receive financial aid, etc.
I took one on Jewish Life in America, or something, and we had to read a book of Prager’s called The 10 Questions People Ask about Judaism. None was a question anyone had ever asked me, or that I had wondered about, and sometimes his answers clashed with Maimonedes or Nachmanides.
He’s a bonehead. And a putz. And probably a shmuck, although I don’t know enough about him, and don’t really want to.
He gives me the creepy-crawlies.
I’ve never heard of him. I’m guess I’m lucky?
Same. Well, I’ve heard of him now I guess.
He’s got a YouTube channel called PragerU that’s super popular and peddles the sort of crap you see in the OP.
He used to be on KFI AM640, the station that blessed the world with Lohman & Barkley and Hudson & Landry.
Then descended into the abyss with the likes of Rush Limbaugh and Dr. Laura Schlesinger.
How the mighty have fallen.
Yeah, he used to be only an average right wing crank. I don’t know if his true self emerged or he just decided to compete with the other asswipes.
So his argument is that efforts to minimize deaths is Nazism? I think this guy doesn’t understand what Nazism was all about.
He seems to be one of the crockpots who thinks that denying anyone access to hydroxychloroquine is tantamount to attempted murder.
I was listening to one of my local right wing talk show hosts this week (they sometimes have decent things to say about local matters, or used to anyway) and he was talking about how a woman suffered abuse after being admitted to a hospital. She had Down syndrome and had arrived with her sister who acted as her health advocate, but the sister was escorted out of the hospital and the woman was left all alone where she couldn’t understand what was happening to her and couldn’t make informed medical decisions. She tested positive for COVID and was there for days until passing away.
I thought he had a good point for a while but after a while he kept repeating that they denied her hydroxychloroquine and it became clear that was his main problem with the situation, at which point I changed stations in disgust. Some people are so fucking stupid with their absolutely dangerous insistence on promoting cures that not only are ineffective, but greatly risk a person’s life.
Basically, some on the loony fringe at this point seem to be moving on from the “it’s not real” or “it’s no worse than flu” bullshit and moving into the more dangerous “people are dying because they don’t want to give them the magic cure” realm of insanity.
That’s a frightening assertion, because he’s Jewish, and I’m pretty sure over the age of 60.
Agreed, and that’s what is scarier - this shitstain SHPULD understand what Nazism actually was, and what it did to our people; but despite that, he uses it to make a cheap political point.
Truly a trash human being.
I meant crackpots here but now I sort of like my typo.
Being a crockpot is like being a crackpot but slower.
As I have an acquaintance who has an autoimmune disorder that requires hydroxychloroquine as a treatment, and she had difficulties in securing her prescription for a few months last year, I’d agree, but for entirely different reasons than he puts forth.
She has a condition that can actually be treated with it though. It’s not the sort of thing that should be available to anyone who asks for it. It has nasty side effects including but not limited to heart rhythm problems, blood and lymph system disorders, kidney problems, and liver problems (even liver failure). People can die from it, and have.
If you have a condition that needs it, and you take it under a doctor’s supervision, of course it should be made available. But you shouldn’t be able to ask for it like Tylenol or an antihistamine. It’s dangerous stuff.
Right, I agree with you here.
I was more griping about the fact that the supply being messed up due to the fucktards like Dennis Prager put her life in jeopardy, and that I would equate with murder.
That nice Mr. Prager is at it again:
Yes, can you just imagine? Pardon me while I say
Are you FUCKING KIDDING ME, Dennis?
No points for guessing who one of the people treating gay people as pariahs during the AIDS crisis was.
The solution is simple then. Instead of bearing the shame of being unvaccinated, he should seek popularity by wearing a hat that says “I am gay and have AIDS.”
