Praise the Isle of Man and it's odd tendency to try out next-gen communications tech.

And praise myself for creating a title that fits exactly! into the title line, using notepad, and no editing.
I’d just like to gloat that 3G was tried here. A newer version of 3g (three times faster) is going to be trialed here. And an electricity-based (comes via your household plugs) 25Mbit thingymagig has been developed for demonstration and future trial.

In hindsight I would add “be the first to” before ‘try’ and to the title. but that would have ruined the coincidence of perfect fit.

Well, “thingymajig” is the kind of techy term I can almost understand.

Almost, but not quite.

Um, damn good show, Isle of Man.

They’re only testing on the IoM in case something terribly wrong happens :stuck_out_tongue:

Well it’s a way of connecting to the internet at super high speed. But I couldn’t be more specific and say something like ‘isp’ or ‘network’ or ‘infrastructure’ or ‘service’ without some smart-ass coming along and either correcting me or asking me to be more specific.

No offence to you. I am talking in general.

Haha! My last computer is lying down dead cos the on/off switch ceased to work - I don’t think I’d dare to try to correct anyone.
