I’ve been sitting at this godforsaken computer for two hours trying to find a &%(& Pokemon Yellow Bundle Gameboy console for my little boy. He managed to save $66 for this (we’re chipping in the rest) and since he’s going on a long plane ride next Tuesday, I decided to end my ban on handheld electronics and get it for him.
Now the question is, will it get here by next Monday? His flight leaves early Tuesday morning…I’m thinking of going ahead and ordering a plain color gameboy from another site, just to hedge my bets, but my husband would shoot me.
And I’ve been thinking, online shopping is supposed to be a blessing, but is it really? Before I would have gone to a few stores, made a few calls, then given up if I couldn’t have found it. Now, since I know that somewhere on the internet is bound to have it, I feel wimpy if I give up.
At any rate, please send out your best thought vibes, I’ll be needing them.
Oh, and if anybody is wondering why I didn’t spring for the overnight shipping, I would have but they didn’t have it as an option for my area, at any price. I even called on the phone, to ask if they could do anything, but I was on hold for 15 minutes and gave up.

Thanks for leads, KP, but it has to be the yellow color special Pikachu edition gameboy, since I was dumb enough to promise that exact model for the little guy. The good news is, I won’t be on the plane with him so if he starts acting up out of boredom, I won’t be around to be embarrassed.
Actually, that gives me an idea…I think I’m going to call the airline up and tell them I’ve got a kid here who is guaranteed to scream the entire flight, unless they get one of their flight attendents to hand carry a gameboy to me this week. Or maybe I’ll find out who the person in front of them is going to be, and threaten them with 9 hours of seat kicking if they don’t fed-ex it, pronto.
