Congrats overly - you know you are obligated to post pics, right?
We just found out :
IT’S A BOY!
Coming in Mid October. This will be my (and her) first child, so we’re really excited.
Mrs. Player wanted our first to be a son, and although I didn’t have a preference, it’s really cool.
Congratulations to Avarie, overly and inkleberry
My newest little guy was born May 12, and is grumpy and healthy. He looks just like his dad, but with more hair. We came home from the hospital on Mother’s Day, which was a nice bonus. (There’s no happier place in the world than the maternity ward on Mother’s Day. Flowers galore, nice food, everybody kissing ass.
)
We named him Matthew David, but due to his habit of sticking his tongue out, he’s temporarily nicknamed “Snake.”
After reading these threads for awhile, I can finally join in!!
I’m due Dec 7, so I’m 11 weeks and a few days along. Feeling pretty good so far! Had an ultrasound at 7 weeks, and just had another quick one on Friday to make sure he could see the heartbeat (couldn’t hear it on Doppler right away and seemed to be in a hurry). Man it looked so much more like a baby this time!!
No real morning sickness to speak of. I had about a week where I’d get semi-nauseous if I hadn’t eaten, but once I ate it went away… But alternatively, every single time I rinse my mouth after flossing and/or brushing my teeth I gag to the point of scaring hubby. One time this made me get sick, just couldn’t surpress it. What a nice little feature!!
The fatigue was a killer though. Thank goodness I work at home and could go take a nap when I needed to!
We told our families on Mother’s Day - it was a nice bonus for the grandma’s!
Congrats, MissGypsy, and welcome, Matthew! (Or is that Snake?:D)
And congrats, MrsMonkey!
Just entered the third trimester over here - we’ve got the nursery painted and the furniture should be delivered this week, so things are moving along. I’ll be going to visit my parents in a month or so for my shower, which I’m looking forward to since a ton of family usually shows up and I love seeing my family:).
The worst part lately has been the soreness - I’ve been in a lot of pain when I do too much, and I’m sure it’s related to a previous injury in my right hip. I think the bigger he gets, the more my sciatic nerve is exacerbated, and the harder it gets to walk. I’m also up constantly at night to pee - last night, I was up just about every hour on the hour. I’m REALLY hoping that doesn’t continue as I’m a total slug today.
28 week appointment tomorrow and then I start going every two weeks - I also have my gestational diabetes test. Not looking forward to that.

Well, I’m really late in posting this, but I had my baby exactly 2 months ago. It was a very eventful third trimester, since we found out she was smaller than normal. I had a biophysical profile twice a week and growth scans every other week. I had to be induced at 38 weeks, which didn’t go well. They had to induce me twice, but my cervix didn’t want to dilate, so I ended up with a C-section 45 hours after the first induction attempt.
But our little angel was born on 3/23/06 and she was 5 lbs. 6 oz. She’s absolutely perfect! We’ve named her Susan Joan (after our mothers) and we call her Susie. She’s so damn cute. We’re getting smiles from her now and she farts and belches like a champ! She has my top lip and my chin–the rest is all my husband. Even strangers comment on how much she looks like my husband.
Here’s the link to our Kodak gallery. The password is kristabean.
I just went back to work, but my mother is staying with us this week. Susie will go to daycare next week.
Congratulations to all the other new parents and newly preggos!
