How great! How proud would you be?
I would be delighted that they aren’t guarding a truckload of bodyparts in Iraq;
or worse, body parts being guarded.
It’s always something  .
Well yeah that’s good news! I wonder how accusations are going to come along that they are still boozers.
Maybe they should be handed guns and dropped into the middle of the action in Iraq. Let Bush worry about his kids the same way that so many families are worrying about loved ones he sent over there.
I’ve seen some downright stupid posts, but this takes the biscuit.
Our troops in Iraq are all volunteers and fully trained. Mr Bush may be the President, but he’s also a parent and undoubtedly has a parent’s view of his offspring - just like you and the rest of the world.
Why don’t we drop your untrained, non-volunteer children there? After all, sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.
I couldn’t agree more, Pal.
Ohhh…when I read the title I thought you meant the first President Bush…but that would be silly…
A Pit thread (the subject of which has been done to death), disguised as a poll.
How very original, SallyStar.
I agree. This is an invitation to flame, so I’m sending it on over to the Pit.
The Pit really needs more political threads right now.
Sick to death of this election,

IMHO mod
Aha!!!
So, you don’t like elections and democracy huh?
Finally the proof we needed that the mods are nazi/facist/commie/puppy-kickers.
Really, I can’t think of anything more important than what Bush has to say about his daughter’s graduation. Thank you, SallyStar, for bringing this to our attention.
Just a side question: If they are only 20 now and have their degree… At what age did they start their univ. study?
I was 17 when I started… Which made me getting my first Masters (as you call it) at 21.
So yes, I think Bush has indeed something to celebrate: His daughters clearly did not inherit his brains.
Salaam. A
Puppy-kickers?
I think that’s a little strong, Wolfman.
Am I the only one who finds the idea of attacking politicians via their offspring really stupid?
I mean, the Bush twins are NOT elected officials. It was bad enough when people used to put poor Chelsea Clinton under the microscope-and it’s not right to do it to the Bush twins either.
It is indeed. I would not dream of ever kicking a small helpless animal. However I do derive enjoyment from knocking canes and walkers away from old people and then running like hell.
It just goes with the job.

We call a 4-year degree a bachelor’s.
Anyway, what’s the flame here? That’s he is proud of his daughters or that they did good in school? Yea, he must be a proud dad…I would be too.
Whatever the flame was you most certainly lost me.
If Bush was my father and I was 20 years old, I would change my name.
Salaam. A
No, we speak here of a degree that is not a “bachelor” (I had that after 2 years). We speak of a degree that gives you permission/possibility to start your doctorate (which you name Phd).
So what degree do these girls have now?
Salaam. A
That would be a bachelor’s degree. A four-year undergraduate degree. A two-year degree would be an associate’s degree. You can, assuming you get into grad school, go straight into working for a doctorate after your bachelor’s degree without having to get a master’s first.
I suggest you remedy your obvious unfamiliarity with American college/university education.
Americans typically (although not always) enter university study at around the age of 18, after completing four years of high school. It is very common to be 20 or 21 when receiving a university (bachelor’s) degree. George W. Bush was 21 when he graduated from Yale University with a bachelor’s degree.
Making conclusions about intelligence based upon age at university graduation demonstrates ignorance.
