Recently, as part of my tour of middle age, I had some varicose veins taken care of(sclerosed). As a punishment for such an action, I am now forced to wear support hose of the 30-40 mmHg variety. It’s a brand called Mediven, if that is helpful.
I am being a compliant patient (so far) but I got to wondering. How much pressure does an Ace wrap exert? I understand that it would depend on how tightly the affected limb is wrapped, but I find nothing on the package or in the insert about how much compression it delivers.
Would it be more or less?
