No option for “none”? If I were a Republican, I’d stay home in disgust.

To be fair, we’re not making predictions, just expressing a preference.

Indeed! But it may work out that our preferences have some sort of correlation with the voting public’s at large. May not. Just for giggles anyway.

Still no love for Huckabee and Gilmore. Will there ever be?

TRUMP-Revere the Republic, Expel the Kochservatives!

Now we have two burning issues:

  1. When will Kasich move into the #1 slot?
  2. When will we find the Real Loser between Huckabee and Gilmore:

As a liberal Democrat, I chose Kasich because he’s the one on the list that acts and talks like an old style Republican. A guy who could work with both parties and get things done in DC.

I also chose Kasich because I think he’s the least bad option of the lot. I think he actually wants what’s good for his constituents. Shockingly, he’s the only one of the lot for whom I can say that: That should be the bare minimum first criterion for anyone running for office, and there used to be a time when you could take that for granted.

Trump, as the easiest to beat and also for the sadistic-amusement thing (If I had the antacid and booze concessions for GOP offices, I’d be rich enough to run for President myself).

Oh, the moderates hate the teabaggers
And the teabaggers hate the moderates
And the purists hate all the RINOs
And everybody hates Ted Cruz…

Same issues prevail, but here’s the sorted list after 75 have opined:

Surely Huckabee’s friend will vote before we hit 100!

+1

I want to know why anyone would pick santorum. That is just crazy.

I may have missed an earlier point where this happened, but at least here’s one record of it:

Somebody else want to play Updates Poster?

Thanks for playing along with this exercise!

I picked Gilmore. To be clear, I did this before I saw there was a sub-bet in the thread.

But, off to the 666th layer of the Abyss with Huckabee, to be Demogorgon’s sex-toy for eternity! Metaphorically speaking.

You are to be praised and honored! Well done!

I am a huge supporter of Ted Cruz and have said this before on this message board, as he is the man who best represents the modern conservative mentality. Basically everyone who comes into contact with the guy hates his guts: he a complete and utter social incompetent. He would make a fine Republican nominee and would be spanked in November.

The ultimate goal is to have a brokered Republican convention in August, something that can only happen if the party loses control over the process and the GOP electorate loses its mind. Which has happened: support of outsiders has consistently exceeded 60% during this election season.

Cruz his focusing his attention on the South: he is happy to be a regional candidate. What we need is for him to come in 1st or 2nd place in Iowa. Then Trump or Christie wins New Hampshire. After that the cage match really begins, except the cage is a lobster trap and the rodents have rabies. Delegates are divided between 3 or 5 egotists and despite the party’s best efforts none can secure a first vote majority.
