Ye gods. In all the discussion to date, nothing has brought home just how awful the roster is as this poll did. Every single option has at least one dealbreaker that makes him or her totally unacceptable. So help me, I voted Trump in this poll. I wouldn’t vote for him in real life, but it scares me because I can sort of see how someone who had ruled out Clinton would.

Donald Trump because I like him in a weird sense, and plus I know we’ll have a Democrat in office either way come January 2017.
But seriously I would also cast my vote for Jeb Bush, he has experience and I like some of his views.
Gilmore, mostly because when I started to look into him a couple of months ago, I took his chances into account and didn’t research past the first dealbreaker. I’m sure there are more, but all I needed was one.
I tried to pretend that I was Republican, but since I look to a lot of science subjects I can report that most of the few remaining republican scientists are not comfortable with any of the remaining candidates.
So I decided to pass. And hold to next presidential election.
I don’t like any of them, but I chose Cruz, because I think he will be easier to beat. He has far fewer steadfast followers who will vote for him and no one else; if Cruz is nominated I predict a lot of Trump’s supporters stay home. Plus, he has less support from Republican superdelegates and the party establishment.
I’d just as soon give breech birth to a porcupine through my urethra.
Who will be the last of these statespersons to get a “vote” here?

Wow. This is sad. I honestly tried to pick the candidate that was most electable and who would govern with some level of effectiveness. I picked JEB. He’s not perfect but he’s not batshit crazy at least.

I don’t even know who this Gilmore guy is. I try to follow politics and read threads, but two weeks before Iowa and the field is so undistinguished that there are people you don’t know?
Carson, because I’m a sane libertarian.
Kasich and I am actually a Republican who happens to be centrist. I have a feeling he’ll be out by the time my state primary shows up. That will mean I am likely voting in the Democratic primary this time for Clinton so I at least have a general election choice better than Deez Nuts.
