They did go to a police station, possibly twice.
Well, what’s important is that we can use this as an opportunity to bash Harry and Meghan.
And promote the career of the ‘ever loveable’ Piers Morgan…
If you choose to live in the public eye and put yourself forward as a public celebrity then you are going to get attention both good and bad. You shouldn’t expect to be the recipient of purely positive publicity and opinion.
There are other people, much more famous and relevant than these two, who manage to live quiet private lives. If that was what they wanted they could do it too.
Like I said.
Are you agreeing saying that they should expect it? that it is is wrong to criticise them? something else?
I’m just enjoying your “If she chose to be sexually active, she should have expected to be raped” line of argument.
Clearly it’s his fault for choosing to be born into the royal family.
I think that’s a pretty despicable line of reasoning. By implication downplaying rape by comparing it to two minor celebrities being photographed or being criticised.
Perhaps talk to someone who has been sexually attacked and ask them if they think there is any comparison to the violence done to them and the criticism levelled at Harry and Meghan.
He was not born into his book, his TV series and his interviews. Nor his decision to live life as a celebrity. All of that is a choice he makes.
Do you think there’s a scenario where the second son of the King of England would not be a celebrity? Harry could have chosen to take a vow of silence and poverty and live out his life in a Buddhist monastery and there’d be photographers swarming the place to try and get pictures of him scratching his nose while he’s supposed to be meditating.
You mean like downplaying being chased through the streets by the paparazzi in the same manner that resulted in the untimely and traumatic death of Harry’s mother by comparing it to “being photographed or being criticised”? Yes, that seems despicable.
I am further reminded of this argument regarding the right to privacy - or not - for celebrities. It is quite compelling.
There is no scenario in which he is not famous to some extent.
There are many scenarios in which a high-up royal is able to moderate the degree of their “celebrity”.
One scenario that is perfectly open to him and Meghan is to not court increased attention through TV and media interviews, writing expose books and expose tv series.
If they don’t do that they get a pretty quiet life.
It doesn’t look to me like they want a quiet life.
Your attempt to deflect from your disgusting comparison is not impressive.
He has opted not to be a working royal, moved away from the country where he enjoys special status, and sought out the aid of law enforcement to protect him from the paparazzi.
At what level of celebrity does he no longer deserve to be hounded by profiteering jackals who feed a false narrative about his evil wife destroying his family?
And has also opted to live in the public eye with interviews, books and tv series etc. knowing exactly what comes with that. Indeed the couple are relying on that increased media attention to sell their products.
He has specifically chosen to court that additional level of attention from the media. He is free to reduce that whenever he likes.
When he chooses to live a quiet life out of the media spotlight and still gets hounded by the press, then he will have more sympathy from me.
I think it’s on you at this point to indicate why the victims of a crime deserve blame because they choose to live life the way they want. Why is it wrong to say this about someone wearing a short skirt at night but right to say it about someone who wrote a book?
If you purposefully court media attention and positive publicity, you hold a high degree of responsibility for the fact that you then receive media attention and negative publicity.
Anyone know why the police didn’t help them? Did they just say, “Tough darts, get lost!”, or what? Would they do the same if your daughter was being hounded by another car? Did the press continue their pursuit into the police yard? Like, how did that go down?
