Prince Williams hair. Should he shave it?

I think it’s fine. Shaving it off might seem like he’s self-conscious; not as much as a comb-over, but it might still give that impression.

My father’s hairline was receding ever since I could remember. This is what he said about baldness.

All men are given an equal number of hormones. If you choose to use yours growing hair, that’s your business.

Two words: Hair transplant. If it works for Wayne Rooney, it can work for Will.

He wears it well.

My wife has told me repeatedly that she does NOT want to see me with a shaved head. If I don’t have to, William doesn’t have to.

Pope?

I honestly haven’t noticed anything elsewhere tking about his hair. I’m not on the band wagon. This simply came to me from looking at the pics he took with Lebron James. In those he looks pretty weird. It’s not just the hair itself. Its that at his age seems kinda weird. His wife is hot as hell and has great feet too. Time to shave it off I say.

Well . . . except for the teeth.

I am embarrassed to admit that I have been seriously thinking this for awhile. Normally I think hair plugs are completely ludicrous and going bald is just a fact of life, but in this one individual case. . .I dunno. It’s not like he can’t afford it. I’m close to William’s age and have had a stupid little crush on him since I was like 11, and the fact that he’s turning into Prince Edward is bothersome.

(I fully admit that this is a shallow and idiotic viewpoint)

But he’d need to wear the hat more than once a year.

I think he’d loo a lot better if he cut it very short. No need to shave, but shorter hair, yes. Of course he can do whatever he wants really, since it’s his own hair.

And the ears, thank the FSM.

I’d have more respect for a King of England with a shiny pate than one who went around wearing a ball cap all the time.

He could try Julius Caesar’s trick and start wearing a laurel wreath.

The historian Suetonius on Caesar:

[QUOTE=Suetonius]
[Caesar’s] baldness was a disfigurement which troubled him greatly, since he found that it was often the subject of the gibes of his detractors. Because of it he used to comb forward his scanty locks from the crown of his head, and of all the honors voted him by the senate and people there was none which he received or made use of more gladly than the privilege of wearing a laurel wreath at all times.

It’s not like he’s trying to fool anyone. I remember right after the baby was born he made some joking comment about how the baby had more hair than him. So he and everyone else has acknowledged that his hair is thinning. If he likes to keep the hair he does have at a moderate length, then good for him. It only gets sad when someone is trying to hide something that is obvious to everyone. I pay almost no attention to Prince William and his brother but from what I do hear, it seems they don’t take themselves too seriously, which is nice.

I find it strange how quickly he has lost his looks - not just his hair, but his whole face has changed. Considering the amount of luxury he must live in, he isn’t aging very well at all.

If I were him, I would be heading to Harley Street for the best hair transplant money can buy. But he seems perfectly happy to be going bald, so good on him. Overall, the royals don’t seem to care about their appearance (look how they spend most of their private time dressed like farmers) – I guess they figure they don’t need to try to impress anyone, so why bother?

I don’t think that shaving your head is very upper-class British male. Definitely “non-U”. One deals with what one has. Or doesn’t have.

My dad and stepmother are *still *nagging me to get a haircut. Now the reason is because it’s not proper for women over 40 to have hair halfway to their ass. Before, it was because it wasn’t “professional”. Whatevs.

Actually, the luxury could explain it. How much champagne, hookers and blow does it take to cause hair loss?

I am very much not a fan of the “shave it” look. It’s supposed to make the shavee look like a badass, in actual fact it just looks pathetic. I’ve said this before; shaving is the modern combover. Instead of pretending to have a full head of hair, they’re pretending they don’t want hair.

Yes, there are guys that look good with a shaved head. Most shaved heads, however, look terrible, and would be much better served by wearing a decent hat (ie just about anything but a baseball cap).

I don’t know but I’ll volunteer to be the subject in the study to answer this question.
